  • Contributing to community and rural health of the state through direct service programs that emphasize excellence and attention to citizen and state agency needs, and in collaboration with other health care professionals.

Our department plays a major role in the training of our pharmacy students and bringing the most current continuing education programming to West Virginia pharmacy practitioners. Our graduate program is nationally renowned and one of the largest of its kind among the Schools of Pharmacy in the nation. Our research is focused on rational and cost-effective medication use and supporting health policy that focuses on patient outcomes as paramount.
