MOW 2006-07

Many changes around the HSC this summer for you to be aware of before you come to class/rotations:

1. NO PARKING! (P-1,2,3,4)
Construction has eliminated all parking in front of the HSC for students, staff and faculty. Parking in the pit area (lot 81) has been expanded. Entrance to the HSC via the back of the building is now restricted to the north end of the building.

2. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE GREEN LINE (P-1,2,3,4)
The HSC has established a 50-foot smoke free zone around the building. The 50-foot limit has been marked by a solid green line that surrounds the building. This policy assures that students, employees and visitors can enjoy access to all our facilities and enjoy the outdoor spaces on campus without exposure to second hand smoke.

3. FALL SEMESTER INVOICES (P-1,2,3,4)
Your Fall semester invoices were to be mailed out by today. Payment is due prior to the start of classes on August 21. Check your registration/fees&tuition/financial aid status through STAR on your MIX account. You can also check the tuition mailing address through STAR. If your fall registration is not reflected in your account, check for the possibility of a restriction first through your STAR, then contact your Student Services Office ASAP to avoid possible late fees.

4. NAME CHANGES? (P-1,2,3,4)
If you underwent a name change this summer, be sure to take a copy of your marriage license to Admissions and Records so that the University can make the necessary changes to your official record. For SOP purposes, please tell Student Services.

5. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY (P-1,2,3,4)
Milan Puskar Health Right is in need of volunteers to help paint the clinic. Painting will start at 10:00am on Sat., Aug. 26; Sun., Aug. 27; and Sun., Sept. 10. Refreshments will be provided. To sign up, please contact Matt Thomas at mthomas7@mix.wvu.edu or call 292-8234 ext. 126.
