Congratulations (P-1,2,3,4): To P-4 Lucy Dalzot who became engaged over the summer to Jason Gizzi, Controller for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. An October 2007 is being planned.

Fee e-Student membership to ASCP (P-1,2,3,4): The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists is offering free e-student membership to student pharmacists. To enroll and view the benefits of membership, go to www.ascp.com and complete the on-line registration form.

ASP Informational Meeting (P-1,2,3,4): The Academy of Student Pharmacists (ASP) will be having an informational meeting on Monday, September 11th at noon in Room 2118. There will be free pizza, membership information and special guest speaker, APhA-ASP National President Dan Zlott. Please come to the meeting if you are interested in joining ASP this year! Blood Drive (P-1,2,3,4): Blood Drives: There will be a blood drive on Thursday, September 14, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a blood drive on Monday, September 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Both blood drives will be held in the John Jones Conference Center. Appointments can be made online at www.redcrosslife.org. Individuals who donate blood through September 30, during the Red Cross' "Keep the Motor Runnin'" campaign will be eligible to win a 2006 Harley Davidson Fat Boy! All presenting donors will receive a biker t-shirt (while supplies last). Thank you for giving the gift of life.

HSC Admissions and Records is Back Home (P-1,2,3,4): Because of the continuing progress of the construction of the HSC Learning Center, the Admissions and Records Office has now been able to return to their original office. They are located across from the elevators on the first floor (Room 1170 Health Sciences North.)

LKS Jacket Sale (P-1,2,3,4): School of Pharmacy Jacket order forms are due this Friday, the 8th, by 3pm in mailbox #983. Jackets are $50 and checks can be made payable to LKS. Any questions, please contact Amanda Preston (apreston@sole.wvu.edu).

ASHP Meeting (P-1,2,3,4): The WVU Chapter of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) will be having its first meeting next Thursday, September 14, at noon in Hostler Auditorium. Dr. Carol Woodward, a pharmacy administrator at Ruby Memorial Hospital, will be speaking, and lunch will be provided. Come learn what membership in ASHP is all about!

Community Service Opportunity (P-1,2,3,4): At least 2 Pharm. students are needed to help with a vitals clinic on Tues. Oct. 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pace Tec 2 bldg. behind the Mountaineer Mall. Pace Tec is located on the hill behind the Mall (behind Gabes) at the old Wards warehouse. If interested, call Tom at 282- 5505.

Part-time Job Opportunities (P-1,2,3): United BioSource Corporation - Product Support Center is looking for additional staffing for a call center - handling patient’s calls to complete daily dairies and weekly follow up dairies - questionnaires/scripts provided to handle these calls. 5 to 8 part time positions are open - 5pm to 12am every day.
