Homecoming Tailgate (P-1,2,3,4): The School of Pharmacy and its Alumni Association are co-sponsoring a pre-game Tailgate at this weekend's Homecoming game on Saturday. The event will begin at 9:30 AM and end at game time. Picnic food and beverages will be available for all attendees- and all students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited. The tents will be located in the flat grassy area between the light blue parking lot and Don Nehlen Drive (near Willowdale Road)- located in the same general area as last year, but farther north (away from the stadium and nearer to the traffic light). Look for the SOP flag. Let's Goooooooo Mountaineeeeeers!

Residency Fair (P-3,4): Friday's Residency Fair will have 19 programs (all-time high) represented. Programs attending include Allegheny General Hospital, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Campbell University School of Pharmacy, Charleston Area Medical Center, Children's Hospital Columbus OH, Huntington VA Medical Center, Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center Cleveland OH, Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, St. Claire Regional Medical Center Morehead KY, St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington WV,
The Ohio State University, UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh PA Managed Care,
UPMC St. Margaret Pittsburgh PA, Virginia Commonwealth University, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University School of Pharmacy/ Morgantown, WV/Rite Aid Pharmacy/Grafton, WV, West Virginia University School of Pharmacy/Mylan Laboratories, West Virginia University School of Pharmacy/West Virginia University
Hospitals/Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, School of
Medicine. More information will be available on SOLE.

Volunteers needed for Residency Fair (P-1,2,3,4): A few student volunteers are needed to help guide Residency Fair representatives to the John Jones Conference and cafeteria areas. If interested, please contact Brenda Higa at bhiga@hsc.wvu.edu.

Career Day interview program participants (P-4): To date only 30 students have signed up for Career Day interviews. As a result, some employers may likely cancel their appearance. In the hopes of boosting attendance, Career Services has extended the deadline for the submission of student resumes, etc. until the close of business on Tuesday, October 17. Even if a student thinks they know where they will be practicing when they graduate, it doesn't hurt to check out all possibilities. Every year some May grads are in new jobs by August because things did not work out as expected in their initial position. Don't short-change yourself; investigate a number of options.

ASHP Pizza Coupons (P-1,2,3,4): Just in time for homecoming: ASHP is selling Papa John's pizza coupons. For $5, you get 9 coupons worth over $50 in free products. Coupons include a FREE carryout small cheese pizza (no additional purchase necessary), and free large/extra large pizzas, cheesesticks, breadsticks, and 2-liters with purchase of a large/extra large pizza (delivery or carryout). Coupons are good at a variety of locations in addition to Morgantown (including Washington, Clarksburg, and Wheeling). To purchase, contact P1 Jenna Merandi, P2s Megan Messar or Jessica Wolfe, or P3 Joelle Potts. Watch for sales tables at the cafeteria and mailroom throughout October, too.

A Job Well Done! (P-1,2,3,4): A big THANKS to everyone who participated in the LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK. Our SOP team raised $3,110.00 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Also, I want to send out an ENORMUS THANKS to everyone who donated money to this great cause. I am very proud of our teams accomplishment and it would not have be possible without everyones help.
THANKS AGAIN.
