MOW 2007-08

Welcome to the Class of 2011 and welcome back to the Class of 2010 and 2009. P-4's-hope you enjoyed your one week summer vacation. Where did the summer go ?! Hope all of you have arrived or will arrive back safely to campus and that you've been able to save a few of those hard earned pennies. We look forward to seeing all of you (yes, we do miss you over the summer), so please stop by the Student Services offices and update us on what's been happening in your life.

Changes in the HSC (P-1,2,3,4) A Starbucks coffee & pastry cafe has opened in the new first floor foyer of the LRC. They take all major credit cards and the Mounty Bounty cards, but do not take the blue hospital debit card. Many SOP classes wil be held in the three new classrooms (1901,1905 & 1909) located on the first floor of the New LRC, so be sure to check your schedule for room assignment.

Blood Drive (P-1,2,3,4) There will be a Blood Drive on Friday, August 17, 2007 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the John Jones Conference Center. To make an appointment log on to www.givelife.org or call 1-800-GIVE LIFE. Thank you for giving the gift of life. Remember, a pint of blood = 2 hours of community service.

Intern position available in Morgantown (P-1,2) Suncrest Pharmacy, located on University Ave in the Freidman's Foodland building (Suncrest area) has an intern opening for a P-1 or P-2 student starting ASAP. Schedule is flexible and has a max of ~10 hours/week. Some weekend coverage required (~ 1/month). Contact Scot or Janna at 599-2159.

SOP Back to School Mixer (P-1,2,3,4) Wednesday evening, August 22, at de Lazy Lizard on High Street. Times to be announced.

The MOW welcomes news items from students and organizations. Most weeks the MOW will be e-published on Wednesday evenings. Deadline for submitting material for that week's MOW is 5 PM on Wednesday. All social news (engagements, marriages, births, etc. must be submitted by the person (s) involved.
