Kappa Psi Meeting ( P-1,2,3): Kappa Psi will be having an informal meeting for any student who is thinking about joining the fraternity. Kappa Psi is a co-ed fraternity, and all are welcome! Please join us on Wednesday, August 29th at noon in room 1106 (down the dental hallway). Grab some lunch and come on in!

Lab Coats (P-1,2,3,4): Welcome back!!! It's that time of year again....lab coat orders. Anyone interested in purchasing another lab coat for the fall semester will be able to do so by completing an order form and placing it in mailbox #917. You should have received an order form in your mailbox on Wednesday. For P-4s and everyone who did not receive an order form, one is attached. For additional information or questions, feel free to email me at azinn@sole.wvu.edu.

EO's, ABO's, etc (P-1,2,3,4): The School's Education Outcomes document contains the broad, educational outcomes (EOs) that each of you will be expected to achieve at GRADUATION from WVU pharmacy school (i.e., similar to a completed puzzle). Each pharmacy course contributes to your knowledge, skills and abilities needed to achieve one or more of these EOs (i.e., each course adds one or more pieces to this puzzle). NO SINGLE COURSE by itself can help you become proficient in the EOs. Rather, collectively the entire curriculum will do this. Pay attention to the School EOs that each course lists in its syllabus. This list will help you focus on the role that course will play in your graduation skills. Underneath the School EOs in a syllabus, you should find that course's specific ability-based outcomes (ABOs). Think of these as the pieces that this course is contributing to the completed puzzle. Objectives that you find listed under the ABOs provide you with more specifics as to how you can master that course's ABOs. I

In summary: A course's objectives assist you in determining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes/values needed to master the course ABOs. The course ABOs are the "pieces" the course provides to allow you to achieve one or more School EOs (the completed puzzle)."

Two New Electives (P-1,2,3): See attached for information about a research elective open to P-1's and a teaching elective open to P-2's & 3's.
