HSC Flu Clinic Volunteers Needed (P-1,2,3,4): Students from all HSC disciplines are needed to help with the two free flu clinics for the health sciences staff and students that will be held November clinics (Nov. 7 from 7am to 3pm, Nov. 15 from 1pm to 7pm. in the John Jones conference rooms). If interested in helping give injections and/or work the check-in table, a work sheet with the dates and times open for volunteers is available in Student Health, or call 293-6970. and speak with any of the nurses. This activity is eligible for community service hours. Student Organization & Class Officers dinner with Dean Chase (P-1,2,3,4): All officers of all SOP student organizations and the two class officers from each class are invited to dinner at Dean Chase's house on Saturday, October 6. Morgantown Area Internship (P-1,2): The pharmacy at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital would like to announce an intern position opening for a P1 or P2 student. The schedule would consist of every other weekend mornings and an hour or two after school on one day during the week. Interested applicants should contact Monnie Moore, Pharmacy Director at 285-1044. Pharmacists Month Breakfast (P-1,2,3,4, faculty): ASP will be providing breakfast for all pharmacy students and faculty on Monday October 6th starting at 8:00 am to kick off National Pharmacists Month. Bagels and juice will be available in the pharmacy hallway for anyone interested. Flag Football (P-1,2,3): It's almost October and you know what that means. Flag football time!! Get your teams together and come out and show us what you've got. The first games will be between the P-1s and P-3s on October 18th on the intramural field with the girls starting at 4:30 and the guys to follow. The winners of those games will battle last years champs, the P-2s, on October 25th, again starting at 4:30. Community Service (P-1,2,3,4): Anyone in need of some easy community service hours is welcome to join us next Saturday, October 6 from 2-8 helping Hospice with BINGO in Masontown. PCCA Winners (P_1,2,3,4): Congratulations to the ten students who were randomly selected to receive $100 toward the cost of their PCCA compounding course held at the Health Sciences Center several weeks ago. They are: Jeremy Armentrout, Kate Dobson, Ashley Douglas, Stephanie Field, Melissa Gonzalez, Tessa Forbeck, Julie Hull, Megan Messer, Marci Pursglove, and Megan Zimm. Thank you to Ms. Sandra Justice, alumna of the class of 1978, for providing the student support. Residency Fair Lucky 7 Drawing (P-3,4): Congratulations to P-3 Travis White for having his entry form picked in the Luck 7 drawing. Travis receives a gift certificate from a local restaurant. Light the Night Volunters Needed (P-1,2,3,4): Hello everyone! I am the campaign coordinator for the Light the Night walk at the Riverfront Park on Saturday, September 29, 2007. I am looking for two shifts of volunteers to help that day. The first shift is from 3pm to 7pm and the second shift is from 6:30 to 8:30pm One is set up for the walk the other is tear down for the walk. This event benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
