Students are required to make up a missed exam at the Friday session immediately following their return to class. In the event two exams are missed in the same week, the exams will be made up on sequential Fridays. Faculty members are to notify the TA proctor when a make-up exam is to be administered as well as the name(s) of the student(s) to be tested by noon on the Friday of the exam so that the proctor can plan the seating for the afternoon prior to the start of the make-up exam block. The faculty member responsible for the exam will deliver the appropriate number of hard copies of the exam and answer sheet (if utilized) and any other ancillary testing items ( e.g. school-provided calculators) to the proctor at the start of the exam session. Proctor assignments for the Friday exam sessions will be disseminated at the start of each semester. Faculty must also notify the proctor prior to the start of the exam session if students are allowed to bring any personal items (e.g. calculator, equation sheet) to the exam room. To assure exam security, the completed exam (and answer sheets) and any ancillary items are to be deposited in the Office of Academic Affairs ( Room 5710- HSC-S) immediately following the exam. This policy is effective as of this week. W. Clarke Ridgway |
