Congratulations to 2006 Relay for Life Team (P-1,2,3,4): The School of Pharmacy 2006 Relay for Life team received an award for Top Online Fundraising College Relay Team!! Plans are well underway for the 2007 event; the next planning meeting on 2/9/07, room TBA.

FAFSA Application Deadline (P-1,2,3): Don't forget that the deadline for filing the annual FAFSA application is March 1.

February Blood Drive (P-1,2,3,4): There will be a blood drive on Wednesday, February 14, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the John Jones Conference Room A. Appointments can be made online at www.givelife.org giving code WVUHSC or call 1-800-GIVE LIFE. Students receive community service hours for donating. Thank you for giving the gift of life. Free Navy Blue Fleece scarf to all presenting donors while supplies last!

ASP National Wear Red Day (P-1,2,3,4): The Academy of Student Pharmacists, Community Awareness Committee would like to announce Friday, February 2, 2007 is National Wear Red Day. On National Wear Red Day Americans nationwide will wear red to show support for women's heart disease awareness. Join the national awareness movement by wearing red on February 2nd and encourage your family, friends, and coworkers to do the same. For more information about National Wear Red Day, The Heart Truth campaign, and the Red Dress visit www.hearttruth.gov.

Found Lab Coats (P-1,2,3): Last chance to claim the white lab coats that were turned into Student Services. If not claimed by the end of the day tomorrow ( Friday, Feb.2), they will be sent to the Mylan Center lab for communal use.

WVU-Rite-Aid Community Pharmacy Application Deadline Extension (P-4): The WVU-Rite Aid Community Pharmacy Practice residency has extended it's application deadline until February 9, 2007. If you are still interested in applying for this position, please contact Dr. Elswick at 293-6204 or email her at belswick@hsc.wvu.edu.

Illiteracy in Healthcare (P-1,2,3,4): The Literacy Volunteers group for Service Learning is having a speaker come to the SoP on Friday, February 16, 2007. See attached for details.
