Alan Dressler Memorial Fund (P-1,2,3,4): All students, faculty and staff are invited to contribute to a memorial fund in Alan's name. The CVS Corporation has already volunteered to match these contributions. Checks should be made out to WVU Foundation with Alan Dressler Scholarship written on the memo line. One scholarship in his memory has already been awarded. Contributions may be sent to Alan Dressler Memorial Fund c/o Megan Duffin 1133A, HSN PO Box 9500, Morgantown, WV 26506 or dropped off in the SOP main office, room 1136.

ASHP Memory Walk (P-1,2,3,4): ASHP in participating in the Memory Walk this Saturday, April 21st at the Coliseum. The Memory Walk is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association to raise funds for the research dealing with Alzheimer's and the development of therapy. If you would like to contribute, envelopes will be passed around classes Thursday and/or Friday. In addition, for any faculty/staff that would like to contribute, there will be contribution jars placed in each of the departmental offices.

PLS lunchtime presentation on financial planning (P-1,2,3,4): Wednesday April 25th at noon in the Hostler Auditorium the Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma will be hosting a financial planning luncheon for future pharmacy graduates. The presentation will be given by Mr. Delbert Bowers II, CPA. Pizza and pop will be provided. The presentation will be tailored especially to future pharmacy graduates and their opportunities for investments, loan repayment, and retirement options. Everyone is welcome!!

PLS final meeting for the year (P-2,3,4): will be held on April 19th promptly at 12:30 in the Mylan Center.

Social News (P-1,2,3,4): Congratulations to P-4 Aaron Taylor and P-2 Lindsay Fortner who became engaged to each other on April 14th. Wedding plans are as yet incomplete.

ASP Picture Frame Sales (P-1,2,3,4): ASP will be selling 4x6 silver picture frames that are engraved across the bottom with "WVU School of Pharmacy." The cost of the frame is $16 and orders must be placed by Friday, April 20th. Money for the frames is due Friday, April 27th. Order forms will be passed around each class, but faculty/staff can order frames by emailing Megan Messar (mmessar@sole.wvu.edu). Please email if you have any questions!

Summer Internships Available(P-1,2):
1. Mylan Pharmaceuticals- Student Employment Opportunity- Mylan Labs
(P-1,2,3): Mylan's Regulatory Affairs Department is interested in hiring another
pharmacy student at this time. The position will require part-time hours during the
semester and summertime employment as well. The position in the Regulatory Affairs Dept.
pertains to drug product labeling. Below is a brief job description:

Assist the Senior Associates (Labeling) to perform all Regulatory functions pertaining to
preparation/maintenance of the various types of drug product labeling. This includes
maintenance of the labeling files, maintenance of the product labeling filing system,
assistance with the preparation/compilation of various FDA labeling submissions (for review by
the Senior Associate). Other labeling projects are assigned and completed as necessary. The
student will assist with the preparation of labeling memos of various types and will help
to gather the labeling requested by other departments.
The requirements are as follows:

- The student must currently be enrolled in pharmacy school.
- Prior pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic word processing/basic computer skills.
- Good organizational skills, detail oriented.

3. CVS Pharmacies- CVS will have recruiters on campus next Wednesday, April 25, from 2-5:30 PM. Interviews will be held in the CVS Career Resource Room in the Mylan Center.

Community Medicine Student Poster Session (P-1,2,3,4): Community Medicine will be sponsoring a student poster session on April 24th at 6:30 at Health Sciences Cafeteria. There will be over 150 posters on Women and Violence, Women's Health, Men's Health, and Environmental Health. This event is open to the public and we welcome you all to support student efforts in these areas. Refreshments will be served.
