New Student Organization Officers (P-1,2,3,4): Congratulations to the following newly elected officers of Phi Lambda Sigma: President- Ashlee Weitzman and of Kappa Psi: Regent: Kate Dobson WVU SOP Shorts Sale (P-1,2,3,4): The WVU SOP shorts have been ordered for those who ordered them during class or by email. If you have not paid, the money is due to box 1155 or Megan Zimm by Tuesday, May 1. Please make checks payable to LKS. The cotton shorts are $10 each and mesh are $15. The shorts will be delivered during finals week, and there will be a few extras. Contact Megan Zimm at mzimm@sole.wvu.edu with any questions. Adult Sitter Needed (P-1,2): Alumnus needs student to live with or visit patient (her mom) with Type I Diabetes on a set schedule. Patient has an insulin pump which she is able to operate on her own. Please email qualifications and references or CV to Elaine Cruse at ecruse03@yahoo.com Summer living accommodations as well as stipend for someone to stay there / Hourly pay for periodic scheduled visits. Great learning opportunity about Diabetes! Patient has had Type I Diabetes for 34 years. She just needs someone to be with her and monitor for any signs of hypoglycemia, as she does not always recognize them. Relay for Life Results (P-1,2,3,4): We are proud to announce that the WVU Relay for Life raised a total of $72,430 this year!! This amount has tripled since last year. The WVU SOP team was able to contribute $7,741.55. This is an amazing accomplishment for such a great cause. Our team was awarded Top Online Fundaraiser and was the winner of the Dodgeball Tournament. Thanks for the hard work. Reminder- Parking permits (P-1,2,3): Renewals are now being accepted through Monday, April 30. Renewals may be completed on-line at https://parking.wvu.edu , or at the Parking Office located in the University Services Building between the hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm. This renewal will be for 14 months as the Parking Office aligns its permit renewal effective dates to the University's fiscal year. Rates for the upcoming renewal are $238 for a paved lot and $182 for a gravel lot. New permits must be requested via a form from HSC Facilities Management (HSC room G 350) which is then taken to the Parking Office. Temporary permits (May/June) can be requested through the Parking Office for those students in transition to an away clinical campus.
