Society News ( P-1,2,3,4): Congratulations to P-3 Eric DiVenanzo on his marriage on January 5, 2008, to Aftyn Wilharm, a WVU '07 communications grad. The wedding took place in the Bahamas. Blood Drive (P-1,2,3,4): There will be a blood drive on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the John Jones Conference Center. This donation will carry the customary 2 hours of community service. NYC Bus Trip (P-1,2,3,4): LKS is organizing a chartered bus trip to New York City! The bus will leave from Area 81 at 10:00 pm on Friday, April 4. We will stop at a truck stop outside of the city where we can freshen up and will arrive in NYC early Saturday morning. Passengers will have all day on Saturday to do whatever they like in the city. The bus will leave from NYC at 11:00 pm Saturday night and return to Morgantown on Sunday morning. The cost is $70 per passenger and seats are limited. Because of the limited number of seats, spots will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. The spots are open to all SOP students, faculty, and staff, plus one guest if you chose to bring one. Additional guests may be an option depending on seat availability - just ask! If you would like to reserve a spot, give your money to Christina Hedrick (a P3) by Friday February 29th at 12:00 pm. Please give these things directly to Christina so we can determine who's forms and money were turned in first (don't put it in her mailbox). Summer Internship Program in Clinical Pharmacology in the Therapeutic Area of Oncology (P-2,3): Pfizer La Jolla and Pfizer New London are hosting a summer opportunity that may be of interest to one of your trainees. A summer internship program in Clinical Pharmacology in the Therapeutic Area of Oncology runs anytime between May and Sep 2008 (see the attached notice for details). Three interns will be selected for the La Jolla site and two interns will be selected for the New London site no later than late March/early April.
