Just wanted to make you aware of a different course offering with my online Veterinary Pharmacy Course if any WVU students are interested... I have had WVU students in the past. I am offering the same course/content/structure/syllabus to any visiting student thru the University of Florida. The first course offering will be this summer beginning May 12th and ending Aug 8th. Syllabus is attached. Cost is more reasonable at $400/credit hour for a total of $800. Students can register for the online course thru UF starting later this week via a secure web site. They can transfer the credit from Univ of Florida to WVU at the end of the course. Attached is a syllabus. Micromedex on SOLE (P-1,2,3,4): The electronic drug information reference Micromedex is now listed under "M" in the SOLE databases, rather than under Thompson Micromedex. Relay for Life Results (P-1,2,3,4): Congratulations to the SOP Relay for Life team for being honored as the Top Fundraiser at the WVU Relay for Life for the fourth year in a row!!! Relay for Life is an opportunity for the community to celebrate, remember, and fight to find a cure for cancer. A total of 64 teams with 1,248 participants joined in the event which was held April 11th -12th at the WVU Shell building. With 84 participants, the SOP Team was able to raise $7,579.06 to donate to the American Cancer Society and the entire event raised $67,606.33. Special thanks from Christy & Christina to everyone who helped make this event a success. SOP Yearbooks (P1,2,3,4): The School of Pharmacy Yearbooks will be distributed Finals Week and at the Graduation Ceremony. Capsule Count Competition (P1,2,3,4): Congratulations to the winners of the capsule count competion. There were 1,472 capsules in the container and the guesses ranged from 800 to 100,000. Obviously, the practice of pharmacy is moving away from "counting pills", because the winners were not students or faculty. First place winner was Ryan Moats with a guess of 1,475. The second place winner was Jessica Huffman with a guess of 1,492. |
