High School students are encouraged to focus on the sciences, including higher mathematics, in order to prepare for pre-pharmacy coursework.

Students are strongly encouraged to take a three credit hour public speaking course. Beginning with the Pharm.D. class to be admitted in the Fall of 2009, a public speaking course will become a requirement. Students matriculating in the Fall of 2005 or later must meet the GEC requirements. Students matriculating prior to the Fall of 2005 may meet either the LSP or the GEC requirement.
NOTE: Students at WVU are also required to take University 101 to complete degree requirements.
