The Society has extensive publishing and educational programs designed to help members improve their delivery of pharmaceutical care, and it is a national accrediting organization for pharmacy residency and pharmacy technician training programs.

Kappa Psi
Kappa Psi is a co-ed professional pharmaceutical fraternity that has approximately 39,000 members from pharmacy schools all across the country. The objectives of Kappa Psi are to conduct a fraternal organization for the mutual benefit of the members and to advance the profession of pharmacy through its educational, fraternal, social, and service activities. The primary on-going area of community involvement is the pharmacy section of Health Rite, a state supported medical clinic for the indigent. Kappa Psi is also involved in various "mini-projects" throughout the year as well as many social functions.

LKS
Greetings from Lambda Kappa Sigma International Pharmacy Fraternity, whose purpose is to promote the profession of pharmacy. The Alpha Omicron Chapter at West Virginia University is committed to reinforcing the importance of service to others. We actively support Project Hope, which promotes women in pharmacy. We participated in Breast Cancer Awareness Week by distributing informational brochures.

We also Plan service projects for the local community each month. These projects include preparing dinner for the residents at Ronald McDonald House, making valentines for a local nursing home, and sponsoring a booth at the Morgantown Mall's annual children's Halloween party. We look forward to meeting you and hope you have an exciting fall semester.

NCPA
National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is a professional organization that promotes the interest of independent pharmacies. It focuses on community awareness and legislative lobbying for our profession. Specifically, our chapter will focus on community awareness of asthma, osteoporosis prevention, Alzheimer’s awareness and smoking cessation. NCPA is an excellent opportunity for students to give back to their communities while gaining knowledge about community pharmacy practice.

Phi Lambda Sigma
Phi Lambda Sigma is a National Pharmacy Honorary Society that recognizes outstanding leadership pharmacy students, faculty, and the pharmacists in the community. It strives to recognize the "doers" not just the officers of other organizations. To become a member of Phi Lambda Sigma you are chosen by your peers at the end of your first professional year and up until graduation. You must have a GPA no less than 2.5.
