It is once again time to pre-register for the upcoming semester. Outlined below are the procedures we will follow in the School of Pharmacy as well as other important information.
All students will be block registered by my office. Exceptions include any additional electives, and Pharm.D. rotations. The STAR system is to be used when any other courses are added.
Star Access and Priority for Professional/Graduate students begins March 18 and runs until April 1 when undergrad seniors gain access.
The Schedule of Courses is available in PDF format at this web address http://www.arc.wvu.edu/courses/.
Randomized assignments for Lab Sections are linked to class year schedules.
If students are asking to take additional electives and their number of credit hours go over the 20 credit hour limit, they must seek approval through the Academic Standards Committee to exceed the maximum credit hour load. These students will have to obtain a credit hour overload permission form to register for the additional courses as well. They can see me for this form once they have been approved to take the additional course. Letters of Petition to the Academic Standards Committee must be submitted to my office before March 21, 2008.
Permits are required for students registering for Pharmacy 749. If this permit if not on file in my office, I will automatically drop the student from the course. For printable permit form CLICK HERE . You must still register for the course via STAR.
Courses that are restricted to majors or certain levels, will not allow students not under those classifications to register for the course; therefore, be sure not to register for courses for which you do not qualify. If a student still wishes to take a course of this nature, they will need to seek a permit through the teaching instructor. |
