WVSTEPS TEAM PRESENTS AT MEETING

Posted on 4/28/2014

A team from WVSTEPS recently facilitated a session on Assessment and Documentation of Performance During Simulation at the Human Patient Simulator Conference in Tampa, Florida. Dr. David Wilks and Simulation Specialist Russell Doerr presented information about using Learning Management Systems in the simulation environment. They discussed with the group some of the unique ways STEPS has been using our Learning Management System to help educate and evaluate our learners. The session seemed to be a topic of interest at the conference and was very well atended.

STEPS also presented the workshop entitled: Simulating the Tough Times: An IP approach at the HPSNetwork Conference. The presentation was popular at the IMSH conference last month and was also well received at the HPSN. STEPS is working to incorporate more IPE for HSC students and WVUH professionals through the use of the simulation environment.  This is a great place to practice as they work, in teams.
