Description

Uses Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment (COAT) program via telepsychiatry starting in 2011 and is now serving McDowell and Mercer Counties through the Southern Highlands Mental Health Center.  These services provide a comprehensive treatment approach to opioid addiction by requiring therapy services at the rural site, medication management services via tele in a group setting, and support group participation.  Narcotics Anonymous meetings are also piloted to these sites as an answer to the limited availability of travel to NA meetings.
