To All UHA Employees:
UHA continually reviews our policies to ensure compliance with Federal and State Regulations but also to make sure they are working appropriately. As a results of some recent changes in how UHA operates as well as some changes in various employment laws, UHA has revised our No-Fault Attendance Policy.
This policy continues to create a more consistent application of current attendance policies within individual departments by clearly defining “excessive” unscheduled absences and laying out a framework and process to address those excessive absences with employees who incur them. It is expected that each and every employee will have one or more unscheduled absence during any given year. For those employees who do not incur any unscheduled absences, there will be an Attendance Award of additional PTO to be used within six months.
UHA wants to ensure employees are treated fairly and consistently regarding their attendance. By implementing this type of No-Fault Attendance Policy, it is very clear how excessive unscheduled absences will be handled in every department.
Should you have specific questions regarding this policy, please talk with your supervisor or department administrator.
