Vision Initiative for Children

The Vision Initiative for Children (VIC) teaches, equips, and supports pediatric primary care providers and their staff, school nurses, and Head Start to better screen the vision of children ages 3, 4, and 5 with developmentally appropriate tests and procedures.

View about VIC for more information on the Vision Initiative for Children or contact the VIC Medical Director, Geoffrey E. Bradford, MD at bradfordg@wvuh.com.

Until November 2008, P. Kay Nottingham Camplin, Ed.D. served as the VIC Program Director. She helped the program gain national recognition and spearheaded the training
of over 1,600 screeners to date. Her tireless endeavors have led to several special recognitions and publications for the VIC program. Currently the VIC program is seeking funding to continue its mission to promote effective early childhood vision screening.
