Johnna S. Beane, B. A.
Grants Manager/ Research Associate

Johnna Beane transferred to the Institute for Health Policy Research in June 2001, after spending 4 years working in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy for West Virginia University, Charleston Division. She has almost 5 years experience working in research for the University. Johnna's primary responsibility is to manage all of the Institute's grant activities, both internally and externally. She manages the budgets and is in charge of all necessary regulatory compliance issues for the Institute's projects.

She also assists with grant applications and helps with specific research projects. Johnna received her baccalaureate degree in psychology from Marshall University in 1992. She has received training on grant development and preparing applications at several workshops and conferences. Prior to her position at the Institute, Johnna had several years experience working as a case manager for a mental health center and as a case coordinator for a managed care company.
