The Center for Neuroscience and the Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy is recruiting one tenure-track faculty into the Cognitive Neuroscience Group. Priority will be given to extramurally funded investigators and clinician scientists.
FUNCTIONAL BRAIN IMAGING
Applications are invited at all academic ranks; this position includes an appointment in the Center for Advanced Imaging (CAI). The CAI houses MR (1.5 and 3 Tesla) and PET/CT scanners, a cyclotron, a radiopharmaceutical laboratory, and an electrophysiology and TMS laboratory. The successful candidate will join a growing campus-wide interdisciplinary research effort in cognitive neuroscience. Research interests in the CAI include information processing in the visual system, audiovisual integration, memory function, presurgical functional brain mapping, neural development, prenatal stress, and social cognition. Research interest in cognitive or affective neuroscience, neuro-imaging, and neural-modeling techniques is desirable. Candidates at Associate Professor or Full Professor rank must have a strong record of extramurally funded research. Candidates at the Assistant Professor rank must have relevant postdoctoral research experience and are expected to establish an independent, NIH-funded research program. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Very competitive startup package, laboratory space, and institutionally supported salary are offered. Participation in the educational mission of the School of Medicine is expected through teaching in graduate and professional programs.
