The Center for Neuroscience and the Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy is recruiting one tenure-track faculty into the Sensory Neuroscience Research Center. Priority will be given to extramurally funded investigators and clinician scientists.
SENSORY SYSTEM REGENERATION & DEVELOPMENT
Applications are invited at the Associate or Full Professor rank, with preference given to candidates with expertise in regeneration, repair, or development of sensory systems and who utilize gene manipulation and stem-cell techniques. Successful applicants will join the collaborative, multidisciplinary Sensory Neuroscience Research Center (SNRC), which is an NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence. Collective expertise of SNRC faculty ranges from molecular to integrative studies of sensory systems. The successful candidate will occupy laboratory space in a new research building equipped with modern imaging and image-analysis capabilities. Inquiries may be directed to Dr. George A. Candidates at Associate Professor or Full Professor rank must have a strong record of extramurally funded research. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Very competitive startup package, laboratory space, and institutionally supported salary are offered. Participation in the educational mission of the School of Medicine is expected through teaching in graduate and professional programs.
