ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR or PROFESSOR
in REHABILITATION NEUROSCIENCE
The Center for Neuroscience (www.hsc.wvu.edu/wvucn/) at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a faculty position in rehabilitation neuroscience with emphasis on adult neurologic conditions such as stroke. This position is an integral part of a newly announced multi-million dollar initiative in stroke and complements currently funded research on neuroplasticity following CNS insult. Primary appointments will be in the Division of Physical Therapy and Center for Neuroscience, with joint appointments possible in other relevant Health Sciences Center (HSC) departments.
Candidates should have a PhD or MD. At the associate or full professor rank, a strong publication record, including a record of extramurally funded research is expected, preferably with transferable NIH funding. Candidates at the assistant professor rank may be considered if they have relevant postdoctoral research experience and the capability to establish an independent, NIH-funded research program. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded research program and to teach doctoral students in physical therapy and neurosciences.
