Research Interests

My primary research interests are in the study of human memory, episodic and working memory. Structural (MRI Volumetrics and Diffusion Tensor Imaging) and functional neuroimaging (PET activation and fMRI) are used to study both normal and clinical populations with a particular focus on the effects of age and of toxins on human memory, brain structure, and function.

Fractional Anisotropy map
Example of a Fractional Anisotropy map of the human brain obtained from Diffusion Tensor Imaging to study white matter disease in women who have received chemotherapy for breast cancer.
