Research Interests

The Montgomery-Downs Laboratory investigates developmental aspects of sleep and sleep disorders. Three main laboratory projects are currently underway:

  • A field study of the influence of postpartum sleep disturbance on mothers’ daytime functioning [read more]

  • The effects of prematurity and infant feeding method on development of pediatric sleep-disordered breathing [read more]

  • The influence of environmental tobacco smoke exposure on development of pediatric sleep-disordered breathing [read more]
