Research Interests
My major research interest is signal transduction involved in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. The work focuses on investigating the roles of cAMP/PKA signaling in the mediation of learning and memory, depression, and anxiety. Techniques include various animal models (e.g., radial arm maze, water maze, step-through passive avoidance, DRL schedules, forced-swim, elevated-plus maze, the holeboard tests), enzyme assays, gene silencing (RNAi), and other approaches related to the signal pathway. Our goal is to elucidate the mechanisms whereby cAMP/PKA and related signaling mediates neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders.
