Nursing students at Keyser Campus work through tornado disaster simulation

KEYSER, W. Va. — WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus students in NSG 411 recently worked their way through a tornado disaster simulation in the Kelley Rec Center.

WVU Potomac State College President Jerry Wallace volunteered at the simulation, along with faculty, staff and community member volunteers who acted as victims.

Students used a moulage kit to create realistic looking "wounds" on each other based on the scenario they were given.

Dr. April Shapiro, Keyser Campus Chair, participated for the first time this year as a "victim" in the scenario. She played an elderly woman who lost her cane in the "tornado."
