Equipment

The MFAC has 2 Seahorse Bioanalyzers (96 well and 24 well platforms).  The Bioanalyzers allow for an evaluation of mitochondrial function in intact cells or tissue, measuring oxidative phosphorylation (Mito-Stress Test) and/ or glycolytic activity (Glycolysis Stress Test).  Other assays are available from Agilent Technologies and can be performed as well. The facility also has a BioTek Synergy H1 Hybrid Plate reader that allows users to evaluate colorimetric or fluorescent based assays.
