Kids' Health Roundtable Series set for Sept. 11

The WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities is partnering with the West Virginians for Affordable Health Care to host a community discussion for challenges and solutions to keep kids healthy. The Morgantown Roundtable Series will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Health Sciences Center in the Fukishima Auditorium.

With rising numbers of children affected by the opioid epidemic, this discussion aims to jumpstart action around the state and emphasize the urgency of keeping West Virginias’ kids safe and healthy.

Join partners including the West Virginia Nurses Association, the Future of Nursing WV, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the WV ACES Coalition. Refreshments will be provided. Registration is free, but encouraged.

Roundtable discussions will also be taking place this Sept. in Martinsburg and Huntington. The Martinsburg discussion will be held Monday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Martinsburg Campus Health Sciences Center auditorium. The Huntington discussion will be held Friday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Marshall University in the Harless Auditorium.
