WVU Police programs set for Health Sciences Center in February

A member of the West Virginia University Police Department will present “Shots Fired for Healthcare” — a guide for surviving an active shooter situation.

Sgt. William Armstrong will offer the presentation Thursday, Feb. 20 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Health Sciences, North, Room 1909, and Friday, Feb. 21, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Health Sciences, Addition Room G17.

The training is designed to empower healthcare professionals on how to personally survive and protect others during an active shooter event.

Sgt. Armstrong will be available after both presentations for any further questions or concerns.
