Celebrate the retirement of Allie Karshenas on June 27

Please join us as we celebrate the retirement of Allie Karshenas, Ph.D., associate vice president for clinical operations and institutional advancement and global engagement for WVU Health Sciences and associate professor of pharmaceutical compliance in the School of Pharmacy.

A reception will be held Tuesday, June 27, from 3-5 p.m. the Health Sciences Center Pylons Commons.

During his 27-year career in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries, as well as his last 10 years at WVU, Karshenas has focused on improving health and advancing medical education around the world.

Prior to joining WVU, Karshenas held senior-level executive positions in research and development, technology commercialization, regulatory compliance, marketing and sales. He has a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and he has made significant contributions to the development of new drugs and devices.

Karshenas is a highly respected leader and educator. He is known for his passion for teaching and his commitment to student success. He has mentored many students, and he has helped them to achieve their goals.

He has been an asset to WVU, making significant contributions to the university's mission and helping to raise the university's profile both nationally and internationally.

Karshenas has re-affirmed his support and commitment to the growth of our academic institution as well as our Mountaineer values during his retirement. He plans to stay active in the community, and he is looking forward to spending more time with his family and friends.
