Epidemiology course added to summer offerings

Infectious Diseases Epidemiology (EPID 793A) has been added to the 2021 summer course schedule. The three-credit course will be taught online by Research Assistant Professor Brian Hendricks, PhD, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. Seats are limited. Enroll using CRN: 52828.

In this course, students will:

  • Learn the steps in outbreak response, and policies for reporting of communicable diseases.
  • Discuss etiology of specific diseases and best practices to mitigate their spread, including recent diseases such as Zika and COVID-19.
  • Develop new skills relevant to visualization and analysis of data, including an introduction to infectious disease modelling.
