Throckmorton to retire after more than 20 years of providing support to SOM students, alumni
Following a career of more than 20 years at West Virginia University Health Sciences, Debra Throckmorton, coordinator of Alumni Programs for the WVU School of Medicine, has announced her retirement.
For over two decades, Throckmorton has dedicated herself to fostering relationships with and supporting School of Medicine students and alumni throughout their medical training and beyond.
Throckmorton’s hard work and dedication have contributed to the success of countless alumni events over the years and have aided the University in its goal to stay connected with Mountaineers beyond graduation.
“I have enjoyed working with each of our students, alumni and larger University team,” Throckmorton said. “I will miss not only our office, but the friends and friendships I’ve made over the years.”
Throckmorton’s last day with the University will be December 31. Well-wishes can be sent to dthrockmorton@hsc.wvu.edu.
