Nominations now open for IPE awards

The WVU Health Sciences Office of Interprofessional Education is now accepting nominations for the Faculty/Staff Award for Excellence in Interprofessional Education and Student Award for Excellence in Interprofessional Education. The purpose of these awards is to honor students, faculty and staff who have shown a commitment to interprofessional education through their service, teaching and scholarly work and to highlight their achievements as part of the WVU Health Sciences IPE Week and through an exhibit at the WVU Health Sciences Center Library.

The awards are given annually to one student or student team and one faculty or staff member or faculty/staff team. The winning student submission will receive $500 (if a team wins, the amount will be split accordingly), and the winning faculty/staff submission will receive $1,000 (if a team wins, the amount will be split accordingly).

An awards luncheon will be held to recognize the winners on Friday, March 24, which is the final day of Interprofessional Education Week. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. During the luncheon, award recipients will have an opportunity to share their work through a brief presentation.
