2017 Hunger Summit coming up in August

2017 Hunger Summit coming up in August

Mountaineer Food Bank’s second annual Hunger Summit will be held August 3 and 4 at the Days Inn, Flatwoods, West Virginia. These two days of educational sessions will focus on the connection among Health, Nutrition, and Hunger with entertaining activities presented throughout the conference. Sessions include such topics and issues as Childhood Hunger, Senior Hunger, Disaster Preparedness, Volunteerism, and more. There will be exhibit tables and raffles. Lunch is provided both days. Come join us for a chance to network with like-minded, like-hearted people serving the hungry of our state. Prepare to be entertained by a LYTE youth-casted Theatre production featuring child hunger and backpack programs and a chef food box cook-off. Mark Bowe with Barnwood Builders (DIY network) is our closing speaker. Hope to see you there!
