Become a registered central service technician

Union employees from Local 814 who are interested in becoming registered as a central service technician through Purdue University should contact Lori Moss at mossl@wvumedicine.org.

Please share your name, department, service date, e-mail address, and daytime phone number.

Employees have from Wednesday, April 4, through Tuesday, April 10, to express an interest.

Following the sign-up period, the Sterile Processing Department will purchase books for the two most senior union members. This course is a self-study track, followed by a test, which requires completion within 12 months with a six-month extension (extension paid for by employee).

Applicants not employed in Sterile Processing who don't complete the course within 12 months and don't apply for an extension will be responsible for covering the cost of the course books and materials ($439). Payroll deduction will be used.
