Butterfly Blog: Preparing for Epic 2015

It's about to get real.

With the upgrade to Epic 2015 taking place in December at current Epic locations, the focus is shifting to practical preparations for the Butterfly Initiative roll-out of Epic 2015 to the whole system.

Two new resources are available to assist employees in preparing for the upgrade. Read the latest Butterfly Blog to learn more. 

The Butterfly Initiative website highlights how WVU Medicine is using the Epic electronic health record to transform patient care and quality. It includes the latest updates, schedules, and more.

The latest version of Epic is being rolled out to all WVU Medicine facilities. This includes upgrading sites currently using Epic (J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Medical Center, Jefferson Medical Center) to Epic 2015 by the end of 2016 and transitioning sites currently using other systems (United Hospital Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Potomac Valley Hospital, and Camden Clark Medical Center) to Epic 2015 by the end of 2017.
