WVU Children’s Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network, WQBE (97.5 FM) and Electric 102 (102.7 FM) will host the radiothon at Charleston Town Center Mall and will be broadcasting live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 13 and 14.
Radio personalities will tell stories about children who have benefited from services provided by WVU Children’s Hospital. Patients are also scheduled to visit the radiothon to share their stories on air. Last year’s radiothon raised more than $70,000 in support of WVU Children’s Hospital.
“Through the radiothon, the community can learn about the services we provide to children all over the state and region, including those in the Charleston area,” Cheryl Jones, R.N., director of WVU Children’s Hospital, said. “It helps them understand that if they should ever need us, we’re here to help.”
