Community Wellness Screening offered at Jefferson Medical Center

RANSON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine, the Charles Town Rotary Club, American Public University System (APUS) and The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center are sponsoring a Community Wellness Screening on October 7, 10, and 12 from 6 to 10 a.m. in the 1st floor conference room at Jefferson Medical Center.

The Community Wellness Screening is open to the public. Individuals must be 12 years or older to participate. The screening includes a $40 discounted rate for the comprehensive metabolic panel that includes CBC and full lipid profile and $35 for a PSA blood test (men only).

Additional screenings offered include Vitamin D screening for $20, Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c, average blood sugar levels) for $10, Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) for $15, and a FIT Kit take home test kit for colorectal cancer screening for $25.

Pre-registration and accompanying payment is required to participate in this event. The registration deadline is September 27. Forms are available at The Wellness Center front desk or you can call 304-264-1232 to have one mailed to you. Forms will also be available at the APUS Community Wellness Festival at the Ranson Civic Center on September 18 from 12 to 5 p.m. The APUS Community Festival is free and open to the public. Screening appointment preference will be granted based on the order that registration forms are received.
