Cyrus Hajiran Awarded Health Professional Diversity and Disability Externship
The WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities (CED) awarded Cyrus Hajiran a Health Professional Diversity and Disability Externship.
The goal of the externship is to increase knowledge of disability, disability services and health care considerations for individuals with disabilities. Hajiran is a fourth-year medical student who will begin residency training in the Family Medicine program at WVU in the summer.
“I am interested in learning about both developmental and acquired disabilities to help address the particular needs of my patients in order to help them reach their highest quality of life,” said Hajiran.
