Daniel W. McNeil, Ph.D., of the WVU School of Dentistry's Department of Dental Practice and Rural Health, is conducting a research study. The project is recruiting pregnant women to participate.
To be eligible, participants must be in the first or second trimester of pregnancy, be healthy enough to have a dental exam and be willing to participate in follow-up visits.
Participants and their babies will receive dental screenings. There will be four in-person visits and six phone interviews. Dr. McNeil's team will travel to the participant's location. Compensation could be as much as $465 for completing the full study.
