DQ® Blizzard® treat sales help WVU Medicine Children’s

On Thursday (Aug. 2), participating U.S. Dairy Queen® locations in West Virginia and the surrounding region will come together to raise funds for WVU Medicine Children’s.

On Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations will be donated to CMN Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

Donations collected on Miracle Treat Day will allow WVU Medicine Children's to meet new challenges and take advantage of opportunities as they arise. It ensures that funds are available where and when they are needed most. Specifically, dollars help WVU Medicine Children’s fund groundbreaking research, launch new clinical programs, recruit world-renowned physicians, purchase state-of-the-art technology and equipment, offer child-friendly programs, and treat each and every child who needs turns to the hospital and clinics for hope and healing.

Last year’s Miracle Treat Day raised more than $37,286 last year for WVU Medicine Children’s.

Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $130 million for the CMN Hospitals through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign, and other local initiatives.

To help celebrate Miracle Treat Day, fans are encouraged to use #MiracleTreatDay on social media and invite others to join them in visiting a participating DQ location on Thursday and help kids get back to being kids. For more information about Miracle Treat Day, visit MiracleTreatDay.com.
