Funds raised during Miracle Treat Day stay local to help Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals care for sick and injured children

DQ Blizzard Treat sales to benefit WVU Medicine Children’s

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – On Thursday, July 27, participating Dairy Queen locations in West Virginia and surrounding areas will come together with a great reason for an ice cream break – raising funds for WVU Medicine Children’s.

As part of the 13th Annual DQ Miracle Treat Day, DQ Grill Chill and Dairy Queen locations throughout the U.S. will raise funds to help save and improve the lives of sick and injured children in Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

During Miracle Treat Day, at least $1 from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations will be donated to CMN Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.

Last year, Miracle Treat Day raised more than $43,000 for WVU Medicine Children’s, West Virginia’s only CMN Hospital. Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $125 million for the charity through fundraising efforts including Miracle Treat Day, the Miracle Balloon campaign, and other local initiatives.

To help celebrate Miracle Treat Day, fans are encouraged to use #MiracleTreatDay on social media and invite others to join them in visiting a participating DQ location.
