Dr. Robert Duval named chair of Department of Health Policy, Management and Leadership

WVU School of Public Health Dean Gregory Hand, Ph.D., M.P.H., announced that Robert Duval, Ph.D., has accepted the chair position of the Department of Health Policy, Management and Leadership, effective immediately.

“Bob has done a great job as interim chair and I believe will provide the stability and vision required to move the department forward,” Dr. Hand said. “The rapid changes in health policy, both nationally and locally, remind me of the old Chinese curse ‘May you live in interesting times.’ These are certainly interesting times for public health – both in terms of expectations and funding. I’m sure I speak for the HPML faculty when I say that we have a very knowledgeable and talented leader at the helm.”
