Emergency Preparedness, Evacuation and Fire Prevention Seminar Held at WVU Charleston
Terri L. Konchesky M.S., senior program administrator for WVU Environmental Health & Safety was at the West Virginia University Charleston Campus recently to give a presentation on emergency preparedness, emergency evacuation and fire prevention.
The presentation helped WVU Charleston campus employees as well as all units utilizing the shared campus areas to understand the importance of emergency preparedness, recognizing hazards in the workplace, plan emergency escape routes, and fire safety with an understanding of the different types of fires and how to properly use fire extinguishers.
Participants had the opportunity to use a fire simulator and extinguisher to see how different types of fire must be dealt with.
The presentation was recorded and can be viewed at http://mediaspace.hsc.wvu.edu/media/WVU+Evacuation+Fire+Safety+Training+2018/1_nl9yu7gr
