Four WVU Medicine hospitals make ‘Most Wired’ list

Four hospitals in the WVU Medicine-West Virginia University Health System family have been named to the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives 2016 Most Wired list. They are WVU Hospitals, United Hospital Center, and Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center, which were named together as University Healthcare.

It’s the sixth straight year WVU Hospitals has received this designation, which recognizes leaders in Healthcare Information Technology and its use to improve performance for value-based healthcare. This year marks UHC’s second appearance on the list, and the first for University Healthcare.

The results of the annual Most Wired survey were released recently in Hospitals & Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association. The winners are considered ahead of the curve in infrastructure, business and administrative management, quality and safety, and clinical integration.
