Free holiday Dining with Diabetes workshop to be held Dec. 12 at WVU Upshur Extension Office

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- A free holiday Dining with Diabetes workshop will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the WVU Extension office in Upshur County.

The workshop will include a demonstration of holiday recipes and a 10-minute physical activity presented by Mindy Mall, WVU Extension nutrition outreach instructor. Sarah Rice, dietitian at WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital, will present a session on living well with diabetes. 

The event is open to those with diabetes or those who cook for individuals with diabetes. The number of participants is limited, and advance registration is required. To register for the workshop or for more information, call 304-473-4208.

The workshop is presented by the Parish House, WVU Upshur Extension office, West Virginia Wesleyan College, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
