Health Berkeley, WVU Medicine announce Healthy Holidays cooking classes

MARTINSBURG, W.VA. - To help you make your holidays more healthy and enjoyable, Healthy Berkeley and WVU Medicine University Healthcare are teaming up to offer "Cook It! Healthy Holidays" with Joan Starliper, M.S., R.D., L.D., and Dana DeJarnett, M.S., both staff members of The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center.   

The "Cook It! Healthy Holidays" class will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13 in the FACS classroom at Martinsburg South Middle School. Learn to make tasty alternatives to your favorite holiday dishes while engaging in a food preparation class that focuses on healthier choices and a discussion with presenters. Tasting samples are included.  

To register for "Cook It! Healthy Holidays," call 304-267-3585. There is a material fee of $10 to be paid to the instructor on the evening of class. Classes are held through Berkeley County Schools Adult and Community Education Program.
