Health Sciences students can study abroad in Ecuador this summer

A two-week seminar course in Guayaquil, Ecuador from June 15-29 will explore key issues in global health, with a focus on comparative medicine between North and South American countries.

Students can attend an information session on Thursday, Feb.28 at 12:30 p.m. in the Fukushima Auditorium, 1901 HSC North.

The courses will be taught in English and include comparative medicine, non-communicable diseases, humanitarian crises, and foreign aid.

After the two-week seminar, students can participate in a mini-internship from June 29 – July 13 at a public clinic. Spots are limited.

Fees, which include tuition/credit, room and board, and in-country transfers, field trips, and assistance, are $2750 for the course by itself, or $3500 for the course and the internship.
